The need to be told

Had a tryst with people who need to be "told". There is no lacking of those in the world around, is a fact.

People need others to "tell them" instead of being decisive enough to know. The growing demand and popularity of these so called God men is a clear indication of where the world is headed. They are self proclaimed "God men" that mob turns towards to be told.

These men tell the mob what is right and what is wrong. They tell them the path to the correct way of life. And the mob follows.

But the question arises, why to follow? Who told them what is right and what is wrong? Who told them that what they consider a sin, is actually so? Yesterday itself, I heard a sane man argue with Baba Ramdev regarding his statement against Gays. Evidently, as ever the God man put forth his decision, instead of putting forth an argument.

Not that I am against all these God men. Some of them are really doing well, such as Ramdev himself who is "teaching" yoga. What I detest are the blind followers. These God men, just like us are men, with their own prejudices, way of thought and approach towards life. But it seems that the followers have lost it all. That again puts these God men higher above the followers. They at least have their own thoughts, not borrowed ones.

So let's consider "why" behind such a following. What I could deduce from the people around me, is a very basic fact. The absence of a solid back bone. These are men who are incapable of argument, who freeze at the thought of confrontation. Those men get solace in those others who can "tell" them. They can quote such men and know that others of equally cartilaginous backbones will accept because the idea is propounded by someone who is akin God.

Seems like I have found the panacea to rule this world. This world blindly follows those who are capable of holding steadfast to their own thoughts, beliefs and ideas. The world is continuously getting poorer of such people, while the invertebrates are creating the mob.

But, alas, what a world will it be to rule?

P.S: "How many great arguments are wasted by quick decisions"
